About the Board

A township Board of Review is a panel of local residents appointed by the township board to review and correct property assessments, hear appeals from property owners, and ensure fairness in the tax assessment process.

Meetings

Dates, Times, & Locations

The assessor sends out assessment notices in February. Taxpayers are encouraged to review their assessment notice. If the taxpayer is not satisfied, they can protest to the board in writing or come in person during the dates and times on your assessment notice. The Board of Review meets the beginning of March to hear appeals from the taxpayers.

2026 March Board of Review

March 3 at 5:00 – Organizational meeting
March 9 from 9:00am to 3:00pm – Appeal Hearing
March 11 from 3:00pm to 9:00pm – Appeal Hearing
Protests by mail must be received no later than 5pm on March 11
No appointment needed
